| The Houston chapter of The American Guild of Organists, established in 1944, upholds the highest professional and artistic standards for its members. Through community outreach in Artist Series concerts, programs, and collaboration with neighboring chapters and institutions, we seek to inspire and nurture a love and understanding of our art. We offer encouragement through educational programs and workshops, and a professional forum for both church/synagogue musicians and concert artists. We recognize our duty to preserve and enhance the art of organ and choral music, and to pass this art to future generations of musicians. Adopted by the Executive Committee May 13, 1997 |
